Manos Pavlakis is Assistant Professor Professor of Adult Education at Frederick University and he is the coordinator of the Master’s Program in Educational Administration/Leadership. He was the Learning Director of the Greek branch of the international award-winning educational organization JA Greece and he has worked for over 15 years as an HR trainer/consultant with experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of training and research programs/activities for public, private and third sector organizations, specializing in Training of Trainers and development of horizontal competencies. He has taught in postgraduate programmes at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Hellenic Open University, the European University Cyprus, the Open University of Cyprus, the Democritus University of Thrace and his research interests are related to learning in the workplace, learning organizations and the professional education of trainers/educators with publications in international and Greek journals and conferences. He was the creator of the educational material for the international project ‘Youreca’ which received the Unesco Quality and Excellence Award and has been distinguished for his social action by receiving, as President of Youthnet Hellas, the European Citizenship Award from the European Parliament in 2013. He holds degrees in Greek Literature (EKPA) and European Culture (HOU), postgraduate degrees in Human Resource Development (Leeds University Business School) and Political Science (University of Crete), a PhD in Adult Education (HOU) and has completed post-doctoral research on behavioural learning in the workplace (Stockholm University).
